Newborns in 2020

I can’t imagine what it must be like to be pregnant and expecting to deliver your baby in the midst of a global pandemic. A good friend had to go through exactly that, and at the beginning of the lockdown of 2020 to boot.

If there is anything to get us through the crap shoot that is 2020, it is looking into the eyes of the next generation. They have a joy and depth that remind us of what is important in this world which is to take care of each other. No matter what big things might be falling down around us, if we can look into each others eyes meet the suffering and joy that are always holding hands somehow, we will make it forward. And once this pandemic is over, I can’t wait to snuggle some newborns again!
